Why would I use CoMediCard if I already have my own health insurance?
There are a number of reasons CoMediCard is an important addition to your health care benefits. We think it is the most affordable way to immediately get in front of a licensed physician and receive a diagnosis without having to wait for an appointment, go to the emergency room or clinic. The service is 24/7 and allows you to address your health care problem at the onset rather than waiting until your health deteriorates. It includes a $0 Copayment for family medicine, dermatology and mental health including licensed therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists and unlimited visits.
The OPTUMRx Pharmacy card offers additional savings on a wide number of prescription drugs. So, when your medically-necessary prescription is called in, you’ll know in advance what the cost is.
The RealTimeChoices App is amazing. Even if you already have insurance, use the app to search for the services you need. For example, if it is time for your annual mammogram and you want to know the costs from local radiology clinics, RealTimeChoices will search that for you and advise of the lowest costs and/or co-payments for the radiology clinic. It searches local companies for you to assist you in determining the costs associated with services you need.
How long does it take for CoMediCard to be in effect?
We process your application immediately and as soon as we are able to process the application, your account will be effective. Customers will be notified and sent a welcome letter with their identification card and instructions. And, you’ll receive emails from Cooper, our brand ambassador, reminding you to utilize CoMediCard. Activation of our apps are simple downloads on your phone or computer. We also have convenient videos for installation tips on our website and our YouTube channel.
How does the mental health counseling work?
CoMediCard includes unlimited $0 co-pay mental health counseling. Pick your type of provider, from therapists and marriage counselors to psychologists and psychiatrists. Set up an initial consultation with your chosen provider and consult via video chat through the Teladoc app. You and your therapist will then decide on an ongoing treatment plan and set up recurring appointments. You retain the same counselor (if you wish) through the entire process for continuity. Psychiatrists may prescribe mental health medication if medically necessary.
How does dermatology work?
CoMediCard includes unlimited consultations with US licensed dermatologists. As you schedule an appointment through the Teladoc app, you will be asked to upload pictures of your condition. This helps the doctor determine the care you require in a virtual setting.
Can I get these benefits directly throgh Teladoc®?
CoMediCard’ s $0 co-pay and unlimited use subscription model is not available to consumers directly through Teladoc. Our partnership enables us to offer all these benefits to families at greatly reduced cost and includes OptumRx prescription discounts and Real Time Choices medical price transparency as well.
Does CoMediCard facilitate COVID-19 screening?
CoMediCard can help with COVID19 concerns. Teladoc physicians are trained to offer a COVID prescreen to all patients. Based on their medical expertise, they can advise if they believe an actual in person COVID test is required. This saves potentially unnecessary time spent and exposure to other people that may be ill.
Is this too good to be true?
We’re flattered you see the tremendous value in CoMediCard. We also understand in today’s world you must be vigilant, especially with health care for you and your family. Rest assured, CoMediCard provides all the great things you have heard and seen. All at $0 co-pay and all with unlimited use. Our parent company, Cosurance Benefits, is registered with the Florida Department of Financial Services as an Insurance Agency, Florida License #L106972. Our third-party administrator, 90 Degree Benefits, is a subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama.
What if I need to make a change to my CoMediCard benefits subscription?
We understand you may need to add or remove someone for your plan. Just send us an email at email@example.com and we’re happy to help. Changes received by the 25th of the month will be reflected on the first of the month. We are a U.S. owned and operated company and our support team will follow up with you in a timely manner.
Am I able to add on to my family plan at any time?
Yes, qualifying dependents under 26 years of age, spouses and/or domestic partners can be added at any time.
How long is a customer obligated to subscribe to CoMediCard?
There is no minimum date established to enter the CoMediCard benefit. Changes or cancellations must be received by the 25th of the month prior to the next month. Please check our cancellation policy for updates.
Am I purchasing insurance?
No, CoMediCard is not an insurance product and is not a substitute for health insurance or normal preventative health care. In the event of an emergency, we advise consumers to dial 9-1-1.
Is there a copayment required with Teladoc®?
No, calls through the Teladoc app do not require a payment. There is a zero dollar co-payment for all Teladoc services including family medicine, dermatology and mental health making this product affordable for everyone.
How many times can I use Teladoc® services?
The calls through our app are unlimited.
Can I share my results with my Primary Care Physician?
Absolutely, information can be shared with your permission.
